A dark, cinematic portfolio for a wildlife & documentary photographer — her images full-bleed on black, with fine-art print ordering built in.
Bespoke, hand-coded sites for small businesses — fast, beautiful, and built to last. No templates, no page-builders, no bloat. Just craft.
Most small-business sites are slow, templated and forgettable. Yours doesn't have to be. Every line written by hand, every detail considered, every page quick to load.

I'm Tom. Before I built websites I spent thirty years in a Bristol printing and manufacturing business — the last stretch of it as managing director. Presses, payroll, VAT returns, suppliers, and customers who needed an answer this afternoon rather than next week.
That's the part that matters. I've spent far longer being the person who pays for a website than the person who sells one, and I know exactly how it feels to be quoted a number with no explanation, handed something you can't update, and billed monthly for the privilege.
So I build the sites I always wanted to be sold. Hand-coded, quick, quietly beautiful, yours to own outright — and explained in plain English by the person actually doing the work. There's no account manager here. There's me.

A dark, cinematic portfolio for a wildlife & documentary photographer — her images full-bleed on black, with fine-art print ordering built in.

A 50-page rebuild for a literary society — long-form research, member area and an education portal, structured so a first-time reader knows where to start.

A studio shop for a Keynsham potter — hand-coded, fast on a phone at a craft market, and simple enough to update between firings.
A relaxed chat about your business, your customers, and what the site needs to do. No jargon.
A hand-coded site, designed around your brand — with previews to react to as it takes shape.
Live on fast, secure hosting — hosting and SSL included, forever. Then looked after, so it never goes stale.
A hand-coded brochure site for sole traders and small local businesses.
For sites that sell — shop, payments, the lot.
An art-directed flagship, or a multi-site estate built as one.
Every price is fixed once we’ve agreed the scope — no hourly surprises. Registered charities and volunteer-run societies pay around 20% less; see the societies page.
Squarespace and Wix bill you every month for the privilege of keeping your own website live. I don’t, and I never will — hosting comes with the site. Looking after it afterwards is a separate thing, and entirely your choice.
Your site sits on the same global network the big platforms use. It costs me almost nothing to run, so it costs you nothing at all — no renewal, no invoice you’d forgotten was coming.
Hand-coded static sites have no plugins to fail and nothing to patch. If something goes wrong with the site as I built it, that’s mine to sort out — no clock running, no argument.
No notice period, no penalty, nothing that renews behind your back. Your domain stays in your name and on your card — I just point it at the right place.
Not licensed, not rented. If you ever want to take it elsewhere I’ll hand over the files and help you move, free of charge. That was never in question.
For businesses that would rather send me a message than think about it. Most people take it; nobody has to.

Not on the plan? Nothing changes about your site. You just pay for changes as you need them, at the rates below.
Start the plan later, pause it, or never take it at all — your site works exactly the same either way. It’s there because most people would rather not think about it, not because you need it.
No obligation, no hard sell. Just a friendly chat about what you're after and whether I'm the right fit.
